The Solihull and Warwickshire Bikeathon is back for 2010 and at the start of a new decade it’s time to set yourself a new challenge! Whether it’s a physical or fundraising challenge, why not join us for a fantastic day out to raise money for those affected by blood cancers?
This year we’re celebrating our 50th anniversary and if every one of the Bikeathon riders raised £50 we would raise £450,000. What a brilliant birthday present for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research!
All routes start and end at the National Trust property Packwood House, where there was a choice of three signposted routes of around 10, 17 or 28 miles along quiet country lanes, passing through picturesque country villages and past local country pubs.
Packwood House is a much-restored 16th Century tudor house with a park and garden with notable topiary and a fascinating civil war history. The walled flower garden offers a riot of colour throughout the season and is the perfect venue for hosting this event. Situated about 7 miles North-West of Warwick, Packwood is 2 miles from Baddesley Clinton Manor House.
