Safety

Our bikeathons are always a fun day out, however as many take place on the open roads with normal traffic, cyclist safety is of the highest importance for the wellbeing of all entrants.

St John Ambulance to ensure our participants receive the best support and treatment if needed.

"Over the years we have treated a number of minor injuries and ailments. Our advice is to prepare for the ride, if its a hot sunny day make sure you apply and re-apply plenty of sun cream and whatever the weather, make sure you are dressed appropriately."
- Clive James, St John Ambulance official.

Always remember to:
Arrow be aware of what other vehicles are doing.
Arrow ride calmly and assertively.
Arrow obey all traffic signs - Do not jump any red lights!

Please visit the rest of our safety pages for some guidelines and tips to follow which will ensure the event is as fun and safe as possible.
